How does the story of these 3 ladies relate to the story of most, if not all moms?

We all understand the benefits of exercising. We get it. Message heard and received.

Although I don't have children myself, I hear it from a majority of my clients; "I don't have time.", "I don't have the energy." or sometimes it starts with " I had the best of intentions. I did, but, things at home were just crazy."

I get it.

I do.

Exercising can sometimes feel like one more thing added to that already heavy to-do list that you just can't seem to tackle.

But, what I am hearing and feeling from clients day in and day out, that not only does it feel like one more thing, but, there is an over bearing sense of guilt for doing it.

So,is it wrong to feel guilty about this?

Absolutely not!

We all want to feel accomplished at the end of the day tackling that list. Making sure everyone is taken care of.

But, don't you have needs too?

Don't you have other roles too like woman? person?

Is it really about that list of tasks or are you more than that?

Is it about being the Best Version of You?

The Best Version of You sets you up to be a better woman and person and ultimately a better mother...no?

Somewhere, moms forgot about 'me'.

Like I said above, I am not a mom, but, I'm hearing the same message over and over and hope this little post and the stories of these three woman inspire you to put you first...whatever that means to you. To carve out some 'me' time, spread some love onto you before you spread onto others and to believe in yourself enough to be the Best You possible.
